Privacy Policy

The majority of AllEdits tools run 100% in your web browser using WebAssembly, pdf-lib, and pdfjs-dist. For these tools, your files are never sent to any server — processing happens in your device's memory and the output is served directly to your download manager.

The following tools require your file to be transmitted securely to a server for processing, because they rely on machine-learning models or external APIs that cannot run in the browser:

Browser-side tools: No data is stored anywhere. Files live only in your browser memory tab and are discarded when you close or refresh the page.

AI tools (Ask AI PDF, Summarize PDF): Temporary server memory only. Files and extracted text are automatically deleted after 15 minutes from the time of upload, or immediately when your browser session ends — whichever comes first. We do not write files to permanent disk storage.

We never: Sell your documents, share file content with third parties (other than OpenAI for AI features as described above), or use your document content for training purposes.

AllEdits uses minimal, privacy-respecting analytics. Here is a full list of what is active:

• Vercel Analytics — Collects aggregate page view counts and performance metrics. Does not use cookies. Does not track individual users across sites.
• Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — If a NEXT_PUBLIC_GA_MEASUREMENT_ID is configured. Collects standard anonymous usage data (pages visited, session duration, device type). Uses first-party cookies. You can opt out via your browser's cookie settings or Google's Analytics opt-out extension.
• Microsoft Clarity — If a NEXT_PUBLIC_CLARITY_PROJECT_ID is configured. Records anonymised session heatmaps to improve UX. Does not record file content. You can opt out via Clarity's opt-out page.

We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing pixels, or third-party tracking for monetization.

• OpenAI API — Used for Ask AI PDF and Summarize PDF. OpenAI's data use policy applies to data sent through the API. Refer to openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.
• Vercel — Hosts the AllEdits application. Vercel processes network request logs in accordance with its privacy policy.
• Cloudflare — Used for DNS and DDoS protection. IP addresses may be processed in transit.

Regardless of your location, you have the following rights regarding any personal data we may hold:

• Right to Access — Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
• Right to Erasure — Request deletion of any personal data we hold. Since we do not store files, this applies primarily to any analytics data collected.
• Right to Object — Object to processing of your data for analytics purposes.
• Right to Data Portability — Request a machine-readable export of your data.
• California Residents (CCPA) — You have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its “sale” (we do not sell personal information).

AllEdits is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will promptly delete it.
